50 mg of diclofenac potassium, a member of the class of medications known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), is included in Voltfast.  These medications can reduce inflammation and pain, but they won't treat your illness.  It functions by lowering the body's production of chemicals that lead to inflammation and discomfort.  Voltfast is recommended for the short-term (up to one week) treatment of acute pain conditions with an inflammatory component.  In situations like sprains, strains, or other injuries, Voltfast decreases pain and lessens inflammation, which includes swelling and redness.  People with difficult menstrual cycles can also use Diclofenac to relieve their cramps.
